Welcome to MOVE CANARIAS 2026! MOVE CANARIAS 2026 is the international movement-arts festival of the Canary Islands. Throughout history, the moving body has served as a universal language, forging human connection from ritual dance to today’s most avant-garde performances. Today, the movement arts continue to evolve, generating styles and identities that mirror our cultural diversity and contemporary pulse.

A four-island festival

In its fifth edition, MOVE CANARIAS 2026 stands as an international benchmark. The festival unfolds across four distinctive islands—La Gomera, El Hierro, Lanzarote and Tenerife—each hosting a programme tailored to its own physical and emotional landscape.

National and international lineup

Moreover, this edition offers a rich array of proposals. Among the leading Spanish artists are No Bautizados, Elelei Company, (In)Submises and Toni Aguilera, all showcasing Spain’s vibrant creative scene. From Ukraine, we welcome dancer Daria Koval and the innovative Nesemos Dance Team, noted for their poetic intensity and expressive power. Meanwhile, local talent takes centre stage through EnbeDanza, Flamencuría Obdulia Bustos, Paloma Hurtado, Carmen Macías, Daniel Morales and the Resident Company of the Centro Coreográfico de La Gomera, each offering a rooted, diverse and contemporary vision of body and territory.

In addition, MOVE CANARIAS 2026 features a special collaboration with the screendance section of the DanzaTTack festival. A series of talks, led by interdisciplinary pioneers Juan Reyes and Blas Pairy, will weave film language into the festival’s choreographic fabric, enriching the audience experience.
