INTERNATIONAL MOVEMENT ARTS FESTIVAL OF THE CANARY ISLANDS 2025

Welcome to MOVE CANARIAS 2025! The movement arts continue to be a universal language — a powerful tool for human expression and connection. Since ancient times, rhythmic and arrhythmic movement has served as a way for people to connect with their environment, from ritual dances to today’s most innovative forms of expression. Today, these arts continue to evolve, shaping unique identities and styles that reflect our cultural diversity and contemporary spirit.

MOVE CANARIAS celebrates its fifth edition in 2025, establishing itself as a key international event that draws both visitors and locals across the Canary Islands. This year, the festival will unfold in the stunning settings of La Gomera, El Hierro, Lanzarote, and Tenerife, presenting a rich and diverse array of artistic proposals.

This edition will feature outstanding national artists and companies such as No Bautizados, Elelei Company, (In)Submises, and Toni Aguilera, all representing the vibrant creative scene flourishing across Spain. From Ukraine, we will welcome Daria Koval and the innovative Nesemos Dance Team, whose works are full of depth and emotional power. Locally, the spotlight will shine on EnbeDanza, Flamencuría Obdulia Bustos, Paloma Hurtado, Carmen Macías, Daniel Morales, and the Resident Company of the Centro Coreográfico de La Gomera, each offering diverse, grounded, and contemporary perspectives on the body and its connection to territory.

This year, MOVE CANARIAS 2025 will also feature a special collaboration with the cinemadance section of DanzaTTack, our sister festival. Conversations and panels will be led by acclaimed professionals from both cinema and dance, including Juan Reyes and Blas Pairy, who will enrich the festival with their unique, interdisciplinary visions.

Our festival not only celebrates the movement arts but is also committed to the training and development of artists. This edition promises to be an open and enriching space where local and international talent come together in a dynamic cultural exchange.
