INTERNATIONAL MOVEMENT ARTS FESTIVAL OF CANARY ISLANDS 2024

Welcome to MOVE CANARIAS 2024! The movement arts continue to be an essential form of human connection and expression. From ancient times, humans have used rhythmic and arrhythmic movement to connect with their surroundings, from ritual dances to modern forms of expression. Today, these arts continue to evolve, creating unique identities and styles that reflect our cultural diversity and contemporary spirit.

MOVE CANARIAS celebrates its fourth edition in 2024, establishing itself as an international reference event that attracts both visitors and locals in the Canary Islands. This year, the festival will take place in the stunning settings of El Hierro, La Gomera, Lanzarote, and Tenerife, offering a variety of artistic proposals. In this edition, we are proud to present Melania Olcina, honored in Spain with the National Dance Award, along with the talented EnbeDanza company from the Canary Islands. From Ukraine, we welcome the Solart Dance Company, and locally, Alicia Hernández will share her unique artistic vision. Additionally, we will have the collaboration of Lucía Montes and Mado Dallery, merging their talents from Spain and France.

MOVE CANARIAS 2024 will feature a special collaboration with the dance film section of DanzaTTack, our sister festival. Discussions will be led by distinguished professionals from the film and dance industries, such as Juan Reyes, Alex Pachón, and Silvia García, who will share their experiences and knowledge.

Our festival not only celebrates the movement arts but also commits to the training and development of artists. This edition promises to be an open and enriching space, where local and international talent intertwine in a vibrant cultural exchange.
